Hi! I’m Megan. I love the city but enjoy spending as much time as possible out in nature with my husband and my pups, Franklin & Molly. I am a big non-fiction reader, currently re-reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle. I am singing along to Adele’s latest release and listening to the most recent episode of the Armchair Expert podcast.
I am passionate about working with clients coping with anxiety, perfectionism, and relationship insecurity because I have been there. My inner perfectionist is always close by; however, through my own years of therapy work, I know how liberating it feel to reclaim a sense of internal calm and confidence. My relationships have been fully transformed in a way that my younger self could have never imagined. I want to help you experience this feeling, too.
I understand how much vulnerability therapy entails, and I believe feeling comfortable and connected to your therapist is integral. I promise to bring a laid-back sense of warmth and humor into the therapeutic relationship. I will meet you where you are, get to know you holistically as a person, and move our work at a pace that feels best for you. My clients feel at ease to explore the wounds of their past, work through the challenges of their present, and manifest goals for their future. Let me join you on your journey to create meaningful change and build stronger connections, both within yourself and with the important people in your life.
Now for those practical qualifications:
I graduated with my master’s in music psychotherapy from New York University in 2014. I have been working as a licensed creative arts therapist and board-certified music therapist with adults, teenagers, and children in prominent teaching hospitals and in private practice for the past 7 seven years. I am also completing an advanced clinical training as an analytical music therapy practitioner. My work has been presented nationally, and I have served as a guest lecturer at New York University and St. Mary College of the Woods.
