DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
Some insurance companies will reimburse you for part or all of psychotherapy services. Megan will be happy to provide you with a detailed invoice of services rendered to submit to your insurance provider.
I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment.
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY CONSULTATION?
During this 15 minute call, we will discuss what is bringing you to therapy. You will have time to ask any questions about the therapy process and assess whether you feel I will be a good fit for your needs. We will go over logistics (fees, insurance, schedule) and, if you feel ready, make an appointment for our intake session. I look forward to connecting with you!
WHY ONLINE THERAPY?
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought teletherapy (online therapy) to the forefront. While it may seem strange at first, research has shown that teletherapy offers the same effectiveness as in-person therapy services! You will find that remote therapy is a more accessible, convenient and flexible way to get the support you and your family need. Plus, you can wear your pajamas to therapy for maximum comfort!
DO YOU SEE CLIENTS OUTSIDE OF NEW YORK STATE?
At this time, I am only licensed to see clients residing within New York state.
For licensed mental health professionals, confidentiality is protected by state laws. The content of therapy sessions are confidential and protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Privacy, confidentiality and informed consent will be discussed prior to treatment. Telehealth sessions are conducted on HIPPA compliant platforms.
It is essential that therapy is conducted in a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and non-judgemental environment. Therapy services are provided to all, and will not discriminate on the bases of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, parental status, veteran status, military discharge status, citizenship status or source of income or any other protected status.
